Basketball Recap: Franklin Road Christian Takes a Loss

Franklin Road Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Minutemen still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Franklin Road Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Connor Branch went 10 for 20 en route to 25 points. That's the most points Branch has posted since back in December of 2024. Wes Fuqua was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Franklin Road Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Franklin Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Franklin Road Christian has already played their next match, a 66-50 loss against South Haven Christian on the 14th. As for Franklin Christian Academy, they will face off against Lancaster Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
