Volleyball Recap: Barron Collier Falls Despite Big Games from Sofia Soto and Sienna Strickland

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Wednesday. Barron Collier lost 3-0 to Canterbury. Barron Collier just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-13.

Barron Collier's loss came despite strong showings from Sienna Strickland and Sofia Soto. Strickland had 11 digs and two assists, while Soto had 12 assists.

Leading Canterbury to victory were Mahi Patel and Julia Kim. Patel had five aces and three digs, while Kim had seven digs and one assist. Those five aces gave Patel a new career-high. Sofia Vergara also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Barron Collier's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Canterbury, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Barron Collier has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bonita Springs on the 13th. As for Canterbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Babcock on the 9th.
