Basketball Game Preview: Illinois Valley Cougars vs. Reedsport

The Illinois Valley Cougars will head out to challenge Reedsport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reedsport took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Illinois Valley, who comes in off a win.

Illinois Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 58-46 win over Myrtle Point.

Meanwhile, Reedsport suffered their closest loss since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Bandon by a score of 49-47.

Illinois Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Reedsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Everything came up roses for Illinois Valley against Reedsport in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 91-60 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Illinois Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
