Football Recap: Lockport Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lockport and Homewood-Flossmoor meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The contest between the Porters and the Vikings didn't end well, with the Porters falling 28-13. The Porters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Lockport now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lockport will challenge rival Lincoln-Way East at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Homewood-Flossmoor is set to face off against their familiar foe Naperville North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
