Volleyball Recap: Bellaire Takes a Loss

Bellaire lost against St. John last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Bellaire saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elizabeth Haas had 16 digs and four aces. Leia Lacson was another key player, getting four digs and two aces.

Bellaire's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for St. John's, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Bellaire will head out to face off against Jersey Village at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. John's, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Shadow Creek on the 23rd.
