Recap: John Marshall Lawyers vs. John Hay
After flying high against the Campus International Trailblazers last Thursday, the John Marshall Lawyers came back down to earth. John Marshall suffered a tough 45-20 defeat at the hands of John Hay on Tuesday. John Marshall has struggled against John Hay recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Tylia Parker, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds for John Hay. The contest was Parker's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Anaiyah General was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
John Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for John Hay, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
John Marshall will head out on the road to face off against Twinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. John Hay will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Max S. Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Max S. Hayes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 713th, while John Hay is ranked 329th).
