Basketball Game Preview: Coral Gables Cavaliers vs. Coral Reef Barracudas

Having just played yesterday, the Coral Gables Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Coral Reef Barracudas at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Coral Reef took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Coral Gables, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Coral Gables was able to grind out a solid victory over South Miami, taking the game 50-38.

Meanwhile, Coral Reef was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-18 heartbreaker at the hands of Sunset.

Coral Gables' win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Coral Reef, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Coral Gables was able to grind out a solid victory over Coral Reef when the teams last played on January 10th, winning 26-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coral Gables since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
