It was a good run, but Oregon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Waunakee Warriors by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Peyton Soule was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Waunakee, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 5-11.

While Oregon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
