The Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Trailblazers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Gardner-Edgerton lost, don't look at Landri Schaffer. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-17 on her way to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 59.4% of Gardner-Edgerton's points, marking the third time in a row Schaffer has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Gardner-Edgerton has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. Shawnee Mission Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
