Fossil Ridge and Valor Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Fossil Ridge had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The SaberCats' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Emery Johnson paced Fossil Ridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Sarah Reinhart and her 32 assists.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 25-3. As for Valor Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Fossil Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valor Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Chaparral on the 15th.
