Soccer Game Preview: Robinson vs. Woodson

The Robinson Rams will venture away from home to take on the Woodson Cavaliers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Robinson will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating South County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams beat the Stallions by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that Robinson have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Woodson was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Fairfax. Woodson's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Woodson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Robinson suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Woodson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
