Volleyball Game Preview: Prospect Knights vs. Maine West Warriors

The Prospect Knights will challenge the Maine West Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Prospect took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Buffalo Grove. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Prospect never let Buffalo Grove on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Maine West was able to grind out a solid win over Highland Park on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Maine West didn't let Highland Park take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 28-26.

Maine West's victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Prospect, they pushed their record up to 25-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
