Baseball Recap: Plymouth Victorious

Plymouth won the last time they faced Walled Lake Northern and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats skirted past the Knights 7-6. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Trevor Carlton looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Asaro, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases and three runs. Plymouth is 2-1 when Asaro posts two or more runs, but 3-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tommy Rose, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Plymouth and bumps their season record up to 5-16. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Walled Lake Northern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth will square off against Howell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Walled Lake Northern, they will challenge Walled Lake Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
