Basketball Game Preview: Little Elm Lobos vs. Guyer Wildcats

The Little Elm Lobos are taking a road trip to face off against the Guyer Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Guyer took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Little Elm, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Little Elm turned things around against Hebron last Friday. They blew past the Hawks, posting a 58-30 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lobos have posted since November 14th.

Meanwhile, Guyer faced Braswell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Guyer fell 43-34 to Braswell. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bengals recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Little Elm's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-17. As for Guyer, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-3.

Little Elm didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Guyer in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Little Elm since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
