Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Wolfe City Wolves
Even though the Tom Bean Tomcats have not done well against the Wolfe City Wolves recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Tom Bean walked away with a 43-36 win over Wolfe City. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tom Bean.
Branson Ashlock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maguire Poole, who scored six points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Wolfe City still got an impressive performance from Jarrett Tisdale, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tisdale has scored all season.
Tom Bean has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Wolfe City, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Tom Bean will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Honey Grove at 8:15 p.m. As for Wolfe City, they will head out on the road to take on Trenton at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Trenton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
