Baseball Recap: John Champe Gets the Win

John Champe won against Dominion last Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Knights came out on top against the Hayfield Hawks by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

John Champe got a big performance out of Tyler Kann, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Kann a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Jordan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

John Champe now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hayfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

John Champe will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Broad Run at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Hayfield, they will host Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
