Baseball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Takes a Loss

After flying high against Riverton on Tuesday, Maroa-Forsyth came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Tri-Valley Vikings by a score of 8-7 on Wednesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Maroa-Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Tri-Valley, their record is now 13-7-1.

Maroa-Forsyth and Tri-Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Trojans (ranked 97th) will meet LeRoy (ranked 220th) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tri-Valley will challenge MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (153 vs. 505).
