Baseball Recap: Portledge Takes a Loss

Calhoun hit Portledge with a five-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Portledge's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Calhoun, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portledge will square off against Greenwich Country Day at 1:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Calhoun, they will face off against Columbia Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
