Basketball Recap: Kennedy Find Success

Kennedy's tournament run continued when they took on Ripon on Friday. The Kennedy Cougars walked away with a 62-55 win over the Ripon Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Kennedy had a senior duo take command as Aharon Young posted 17 points and Noah Hayes II put up 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hayes II has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazaevion Cole, who had ten points.

Despite the loss, Ripon still got an impressive performance from Marcus Madoski, who went 11 of 18 on his way to 29 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 52.7% of Ripon's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Logan Lefebvre was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven assists and five boards.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ripon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-60 defeat against West on the 14th. As for Ripon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-34 win against Leadership on the 14th.
