Baseball Game Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Monument Valley Mustangs

The Tuba City Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Monument Valley Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuba City is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Tuba City after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 15-8 to Page.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monument Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Many Farms on Wednesday as Monument Valley made off with an 11-3 victory. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ty Goldtooth was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Those runs were his first of the season. Pernell Begay was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Monument Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Tuba City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Tuba City was able to grind out a solid victory over Monument Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 12-7. Will Tuba City repeat their success, or does Monument Valley has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
