Basketball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Comes Up Short

St. Mary Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Woodmore Wildcats 49-11. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-16 back in December of 2024.

St. Mary Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Woodmore, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary Central Catholic will take on Danbury at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodmore, they will face off against Calvert at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday. Calvert has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
