Basketball Recap: Pasquotank County Comes Up Short

Pasquotank County and Southwest Onslow squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pasquotank County had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Southwest Onslow Stallions 83-40. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Despite the loss, Pasquotank County still got an impressive performance from Branden Smith, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyatta Parker, who to rack up 12 points and five rebounds.

Pasquotank County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Southwest Onslow, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Pasquotank County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwest Onslow, they will square off against Southeast Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Davian Edwards and Rue Chapman.
