LaFayette and Gilmer are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Ramblers will face off against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

LaFayette came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by Northwest Whitfield 40-7. The loss continues a trend for the Ramblers in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Gilmer ended up a good deal behind Heritage on Friday and lost 29-14. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for LaFayette, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

LaFayette took a serious blow against Gilmer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 48-7. Can the Ramblers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
