Recap: Compass Charter Aviators vs. Melba Mustangs
The Compass Charter Aviators suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Melba on the road and fell 70-42. Compass Charter has struggled against Melba recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Compass Charter still got an impressive performance from Thore Lucas, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Lucas hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Skimmyhorn, who scored ten points.
Compass Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Melba, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Compass Charter will look to defend their home court on Saturday against The Ambrose School at 7:30 p.m. The Ambrose School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Compass Charter in Idaho (The Ambrose School is ranked 12th, while Compass Charter is ranked 65th). As for Melba, they will head out on the road to face off against Wendell at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
