Softball Recap: Estacado Comes Up Short

Estacado fell victim to Sundown and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-0 to the Sundown Roughnecks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Roughnecks: they've now lost three in a row.

Estacado now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sundown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Estacado will look to defend their home field on Friday against Muleshoe at 6:15 p.m. Muleshoe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Sundown, they will be taking part in a tournament against Littlefield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
