Soccer Recap: Ninety Six Has No Trouble Against Saluda

It was a proper cat-fight when Ninety Six took on Saluda on Thursday. The Wildcats blew past the Tigers 5-2. Considering Ninety Six have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Saluda with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brooklyn Burgeson (3), Kenley Collins, and Sophia Somaini.

The win made it two in a row for Ninety Six and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those two games. As for Saluda, they moved to 6-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Ninety Six will square off against Dixie at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Dixie will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Ninety Six surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saluda, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Strom Thurmond at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
