Baseball Recap: Concord Academy Comes Up Short

Concord Academy lost against Pingree back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Concord Academy fell 10-7 to Pingree. Concord Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tairou Komyerov made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Cedric Lin was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Concord Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pingree, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord Academy will venture away from home to square off against Bancroft at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Pingree, they will head out to challenge Cambridge at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
