Basketball Recap: Wiregrass' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Wiregrass saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 63-56 to the Oaks Mighty Oaks. The contest marked the Kings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Wiregrass still got an impressive performance from Brayden Treadaway, who shot 5-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards. The game was Treadaway's fifth in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Graysen Ellison, who posted six points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Oaks was led to victory by Izzy Paul and Ken Henderson. Paul had 15 points, while Henderson scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Shabo, who earned ten points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wiregrass fell to 4-1. As for Oaks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Wiregrass has already played their next contest, a 56-50 loss against Trinity Christian on the 25th. As for Oaks, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 48-38 win against Grace Christian on the 2nd.
