Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Christian Academy Patriots vs. Northwood Temple Academy Eagles

Freedom Christian Academy is 2-8 against Northwood Temple Academy since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Freedom Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Northwood Temple Academy likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Freedom Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 74-69 to Terry Sanford.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Bryce West, who posted 33 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsten Swinney, who earned 19 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Northwood Temple Academy ended up a good deal behind Harrells Christian Academy on Monday and lost 74-55. The Eagles have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Northwood Temple Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Freedom Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Freedom Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Northwood Temple Academy in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 94-90 victory.
