Volleyball Recap: Maricopa Takes a Loss

Maricopa suffered their biggest defeat since March 6th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Campo Verde Coyotes, falling 3-0. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Maricopa was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Campo Verde's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-20.

Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Campo Verde, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

Coming up, Maricopa will be taking part in a tournament against Rincon/University at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Campo Verde, they will venture away from home to square off against Notre Dame Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
