Soccer Recap: Depaul College Prep Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked St. Francis

DePaul College Prep's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past the St. Francis Spartans 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given DePaul College Prep's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while St. Francis are ranked 27th).

Eleanor Farrell and Lucia Trautman scored both of DePaul College Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

DePaul College Prep's win bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for St. Francis, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
