Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Texas, Mt. Pleasant was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Marshall Mavericks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 back in March.

Mt. Pleasant now has a winning record of 15-14-1. As for Marshall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Mt. Pleasant will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. The Tigers are facing the Fightin' Indians at the right time seeing as the Fightin' Indians are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
