Softball Recap: Triton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Triton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the LaVille Lancers with a sharp 14-4 win on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Triton let Alicia Gonzales and Miley Lozier run wild. Gonzales went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Lozier went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kyrstin Alderfer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Triton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Triton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for LaVille, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Triton will challenge North Miami at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaVille, they will face off against Tippecanoe Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
