Volleyball Recap: South Granville Falls Despite Big Games from Larah Preddy and Kaylee Aiken + How To Watch

South Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Vance Charter Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

While South Granville ultimately came up short, they really made Vance Charter work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Kaylee Aiken and Larah Preddy certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Aiken had 13 digs and five aces, while Preddy had 12 assists and six digs. Aiken is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

South Granville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Vance Charter, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, South Granville will challenge Durham School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vance Charter, they will take on Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
