Volleyball Recap: South Granville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Vance Charter Knights, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

South Granville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Vance Charter work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Despite the loss, South Granville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaylee Aiken had 13 digs and five aces. Aiken is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

South Granville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Vance Charter, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

South Granville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Durham School of the Arts on the 26th. As for Vance Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Neuse Charter on the 25th.
