The Ludlowe Falcons' homestand will continue as they prepare to take on the Darien Blue Wave at 8:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Last Monday, Ludlowe got the win against Stamford by a conclusive 3-0.
While Ludlowe won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-21.
Meanwhile, everything went Darien's way against Danbury on Monday as Darien made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Wave.
While Darien might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Danbury scored at least 16 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-13.
Darien can attribute much of their success to Cassie Arevalo, who had ten digs.
Ludlowe pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Darien, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
