Football Recap: Ripon Drops Season-High Score on Riverbank

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ripon). They strolled past the Riverbank Bruins with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 36-21. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 12-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ana Shriver went supernova, throwing for 335 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 66 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Elena Vandernakker was another key player, picking up 93 receiving yards and one TD.

Ripon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mia Hendryx, Amariah Cardenas, and Teagan Osborn picked up one apiece.

The win got Ripon back to even at 3-3. As for Riverbank, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon will challenge West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverbank, they will take on Johansen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
