Recap: West Mesa Mustangs vs. Sandia Matadors

The West Mesa Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Sandia 87-66. Winning may never get old, but West Mesa sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Sandia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Thomas Adams. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Adams hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmil Crayton Johnson, who scored 14 points along with two steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Mesa will take on La Cueva at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in La Cueva's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 19 matchups. As for Sandia, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Farmington is ranked 15th, while Sandia is ranked seventh).
