Softball Recap: Delta Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Delta's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wapahani Raiders with a sharp 15-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Addie Smith was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Everly Carter, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Delta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Delta's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Wapahani, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta will face off against Elwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wapahani, they will square off against South Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
