Templeton is 7-1 against St. Joseph since August of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Templeton will be strutting in after a victory while St. Joseph will be coming in after a defeat.

Templeton took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Atascadero, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Greyhounds on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-102) Templeton actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph came up short against Nipomo on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While St. Joseph ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 18-25, 25-17.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Templeton, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 9-16.

Templeton might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
