Baseball Recap: Buffalo Gap Takes a Loss

Buffalo Gap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rappahannock Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 on Saturday.

Dalton Coffey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Buffalo Gap's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rappahannock, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Buffalo Gap will take on Nelson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rappahannock, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Middlesex at 5:00 p.m.
