Gonzaga Prep is 8-2 against Ferris since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bullpups will be playing at home against the Saxons at 4:00 p.m.

Gonzaga Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Richland, who was ranked fourth at the time (Gonzaga Prep was ranked 15th). The Bullpups took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bombers on Tuesday. The Bullpups' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lars Bazler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Brady Strahl, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ferris hadn't done well against Mead recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Saxons never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Saxons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gonzaga Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Ferris, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
