Baseball Recap: Maywood Academy Wins Going Away Against Elizabeth

Maywood Academy won the last time they faced Elizabeth and things went their way on Thursday too. The Nighthawks put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 14-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

Maywood Academy got a massive performance out of Rudy Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Flores, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Maywood Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Maywood Academy's record now sits at 4-12. As for Elizabeth, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

As of now, neither Maywood Academy nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
