Basketball Recap: Triton Triumphs

Triton's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 win over the Midway Raiders. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Among those leading the charge was Nashara McNeil-Watlington, who went 7-for-10 en route to 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (70%).

Triton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Midway, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triton will host Smithfield-Selma at 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd. As for Midway, they will challenge West Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th.
