Soccer Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Grayslake North Knights. While losing is never fun, Antioch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Grayslake North are ranked 146th).

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Grayslake North, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Antioch is set to face off against their familiar foe Grayslake Central at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Grayslake North will take on rival Grant Community at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
