Softball Recap: Orchard Park Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Orchard Park got themselves on the board against West Seneca West on Tuesday, but West Seneca West never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Warhawks. Considering the Quakers have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Farina was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Lainey Babich was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Maggie Kandefer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Orchard Park is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 15-4 record this season. As for West Seneca West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

As of now, neither Orchard Park nor the Warhawks have any future games scheduled.
