Football Recap: Kiowa Falls to Branson/Kim in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Kiowa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Branson/Kim Bearcats and fell 40-0. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 55-7 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Branson/Kim to victory were Will Doherty and Cooper Winter. Doherty gained 131 total yards and three touchdowns, while Winter threw for 119 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Winter also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making ten total tackles.

Kiowa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 22-19 victory against La Veta on the 5th. As for Branson/Kim, they have also already played their next contest, a 47-7 loss against Granada on the 5th.
