Football Recap: Colton Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Colton had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Jurupa Valley Jaguars, posting a 61-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Koa Regalado was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 189 yards and three TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes. Troy Pouvi also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Colton, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Pouvi, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Colton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. As for Jurupa Valley, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Fontana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
