Basketball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

After soaring to 60 points the game before, Highland was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by the Pantego Christian Panthers 87-26.

Stone Thiel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pantego Christian, going 7 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points. Thiel has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Aj Brooks was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points and five steals.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Pantego Christian, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Highland will venture away from home to challenge Roby at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pantego Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-19 win against Baird on the 27th.
