Baseball Recap: Castle View Wins Going Away Against Sunnyslope

After only one run in their last match, Castle View made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sunnyslope on Tuesday. The Castle View Sabercats put the hurt on the Sunnyslope Vikings with a sharp 11-2 victory. The Sabercats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Castle View got a great performance from Cole Cates as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Tyler Feldhake was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Harry, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Castle View's record now sits at 3-1. As for Sunnyslope, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

When Castle View and Sunnyslope next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Castle View will try to stop O'Connor's five-game winning streak when they meet at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Castle View's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Sunnyslope's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Sunnyslope will take on Cherokee Trail and their three-game winning streak at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
